Cactus Club Cafe is a nearly 40-year-old brand out of Vancouver that only recently crossed into the US, first Boston, then Downtown Miami, inside the base of the 34-story Citigroup Center right on Biscayne Boulevard. The concept of Cactus Club Cafe Miami is “elevated everyday dining,” which in practice means a menu that pulls from sushi, ceviche, pasta, and steakhouse mains all in one place, at a price point built for repeat visits rather than special occasions only.

The space itself earns some of the hype: 11,500 square feet, a central bar, lounge seating, a lush patio, and enough room for 280 diners without feeling like a cafeteria. It’s loud, bright, and clearly built for a crowd that wants energy with dinner. We went for a night that landed somewhere between date night and a group hangout, and it worked for both.

What we ordered

Cactus Club Cafe Miami: The dishes worth ordering

Sushi Set

A shareable platter of maki and temaki, crab, crispy shrimp, torched salmon, tuna. Good for the table, not a dish to build the whole meal around, but a strong opener.

Wagyu Beef Carpaccio

Thin, well-seasoned, and consistently one of the best-reviewed dishes on the menu. Order this without hesitation.

Scallop & Shrimp Ceviche

Fresh and well-balanced, a good palate opener before the heavier plates arrive.

Avocado Kale Salad

A solid, well-dressed green that holds its own next to the richer dishes on the table.

Miso Caramel Seabass

The standout entrée. Sweet, savory, and consistently the dish other reviewers and our table agreed on independently.

Steak Frites

A reliable, well-executed classic if you want something more straightforward on the table.

Chocolate Espresso Mousse Cup

Rich without being heavy, a good size for sharing after a big spread.

London Fog Crème Brûlée

The better of the two desserts on our table, Earl Grey coming through clearly under the caramelized top.

Drinks lean hard into the frozen Peach Bellini, which is the thing most people online already know Cactus Club for. It’s sweet, festive, and better suited to one round than three.

This isn’t fine dining pretending otherwise, it’s a genuinely good time with a menu that actually delivers.

The vibe

Cactus Club is loud, bright, and built for energy rather than intimacy, similar in spirit to Amazónico but with a more accessible price point and a much broader menu. It works for date night if you’re both fine with a buzzing room, and it works even better for a group of friends who want variety on the table without anyone having to compromise on what they’re in the mood for.

Our verdict

Worth the hype, and worth repeating

Cactus Club Cafe earns its "elevated everyday dining" tagline. The wagyu carpaccio and miso caramel seabass are the two dishes to build a table around, with the ceviche and sushi set as strong shareable additions. It's flexible enough for date night or a group night out, and the price point makes it realistic to come back often rather than save it for a special occasion. Downtown parking is tight, so budget for valet.
